Artist's statement: Fish Fry performances are famous for the energy, excitement and supercharged ensemble work as the band plug into the vibe of R&B legends Ray Charles, Louis Jordan, Big Joe Turner and Louis Prima, hepcats Duke Ellington and Cab Calloway, groovy guru Georgie Fame and of course The Godfather of Soul, James Brown.
Fish Fry are featured regularly at music festivals and private functions throughout the state and have previously shared the stage with legendary artists Shirley Bassey, Michael Crawford, Renee Geyer, James Morrison and Don Burrows. Australian acting great Jack Thompson has even joined the band for a few choruses on harmonica.

Artist's statement: Waltzing Jack plays traditional Australian folk music and is an entertaining band to listen or dance to. The band specialises in acoustic music and features instruments including viola, violin, accordeon, English concertina, penny whistle, guitar and more. The musicians have played for a variety of occasions including weddings, parties, bush dances and folk festivals. Members of the band annually organise and perform at the Baerami Bush Dance and Campout in the Upper Hunter.

Artist's statement: Classically trained pianist. I have worked at tertiary level in Australia, Fiji, PNG, Pakistan, India, Cambodia and Indonesia. Most as an ethnomusicologist. I have publications including several CD's with Celestial harmonies and World records.

Name: The Murratones
Artist's statement: The Murratones are a community choir formed in 2008. Open to anyone wanting to sing in harmony with others. Rehearsals are Wednesdays 5-6pm at the Murrurundi CTC.

Artist's statement: I am a self-taught composer with piano training. I have written and recorded a variety of commissions – The Dungog Film Festival Trailer Soundtrack, a CD of songs for children to learn the times tables for Gillian Miles Educational Resources, The Tillegra Song for Loosely Woven concerts and other pieces for my own performance and Blue Moon Duo. I established and conducted the Dungog Warblers choir from 2006-9.

Artist's statement: The Scone Singers community choir have been performing across the Upper Hunter for over 11 years. Currently directed by Sue Davis, they continue to perform a wide repetoire of a cappella reflecting the eclectic tastes of it's members and rehearse each Sunday afternoon 5-6.30 at the Scone High School.
