Artist's statement: I enjoy combining found natural objects and everyday materials into sculptures to encourage new views of familar subjects and new uses of familiar objects. After an installation of sticky tape sculptures in 2006, I am now drawn to using wire, feathers, rocks and twine. The grasses, twigs and leaves from around my home also consistently find their way into my small sculptures.

Artist's statement: I am basically a colourist and love the clarity of the big skies and beautiful blue sea here in Sydney and like to compliment that with the country and river scenes from my studio in Gloucester. I love to paint animals of all kinds, especially the native parrots, cockatoos and kookaburrus, however in my last exhibition I focused on acrylic paintings containing people going about their daily routines.

It is my intention, that my artworks cause people to slow down and notice the exquisite details we are surrounded by. Each precious feather, leaf or pebble is shaped by time, water, wind and sun. They are affected by the changing seasons. Fragments of a larger picture, each one is reliant on all of the others to continue the circle of life. We are all knitted into this circle.

Artist's statement: My main area of interest is in looking at ways of presenting humans in relation to our environment.I see humans as animals who have forgotten that they are animals and somehow see themselves as something other. I always end up caught up in this in an emotive way and hope that the works convey some aspect of this ambiguity. I like to work on ideas that engage the community somehow as participants in the making of the work, such as with 'Hold' the heads of the women of Gunnedah, and now 'Touch this earth lightly', the feet of.....

I was inspired by ancient mosaic art forms and participated in a workshop approximately 12 years ago. Since then, I have been bitten by the ‘mosaic bug’. I have conducted several workshops throughout the valley, (in schools and for art groups). A number of my ‘pieces’ found their way to various galleries and some live with friends or family.
