Arts Upper Hunter in association with Regional Arts NSW will be holding an arts grants workshop in Dungog.
Regional Arts NSW Funding Officer Ben Sibson will discuss the various grants available and the key aspects of a good application. Ideas for projects will also be discussed.
As part of the workshop, attendees will break into small groups to role play being a grants assessment panel. Each panel will assess a small number of specially devised, fictional applications against a list of common criteria for arts grants. Each panel will have a limited budget and the results will be discussed by the whole group.
The aim of the exercise is to give workshop participants an insight into how applications are assessed and what assessment panels look for.
The workshop is free and runs from 10 am to 2 pm on Tuesday June 11 at the Dungog CWA Hall. A light lunch will be provided. To register for the workshop and for more information, contact Regional Arts Development Officer Mark Reedman by email at rado@artsupperhunter.com.au by Monday June 3.
